Ramona Mandu • Senior Consultant
Ramona graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Communication at The National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest, Romania. She continued her studies by getting a Master’s Degree in 2012 in Project Management at the same university.
Ramona worked for a couple of years for the digital advertising division of the McCann Worldgroup in Bucharest. During this time, she was part of a great team, that won 9 Cannes Lions awards in 2011.
In 2012, she moved to Belgium, where she started working for several years in direct marketing at Bisnode Belgium for international clients and learning about how data changes the way a company interacts with its customers.
Equipped with these experiences, Ramona joined Hazelheartwood in 2016 as a digital transformation consultant.

Crina Petrea • Consultant
Crina is a young and dynamic professional with a creative mind which knows no borders. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Public Relations from Al. Ioan Cuza University in Romania, and a Master’s Degree in New Media and Society in Europe from VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel).
Crina started her career as a Communication and Design professional at a Public Affairs Event Management Company, in the heart of the EU bubble. Guido de Grefte • Managing Partner
Guido holds Master’s degrees in Organisational Sociology and Organisational Communication from the University of Amsterdam. By the time he joined KPMG Advisory in 1993, he had worked for the Dutch Ministry of Finance as an internal consultant, had become Vice President of the Tappan Group after joining them as senior consultant specialising in the communication sector, and had been Managing Director of CMC Communication Management Consultants. He joined KPMG as Senior Manager Change Management, becoming Partner for consulting services in the Antilles and then Lead Partner for Strategy and Operations and for Energy and Industrial Markets in Belgium.
Guido is Vice President of the board of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and the author of a children’s book on doing business. Guido founded Hazelheartwood in 2011.

David holds a master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Brussels. After gaining further marketing, operational, account management and project management experience in both Italy and Belgium, David joined the Hazelheartwood team at the end of 2016.

Anouk Doore • Senior Consultant
Anouk graduated in Social and Cultural Welfare Studies from the University of Brussels, and went on to do a postgraduate in Business Economics at Vlekho Business School. She is a certified internal auditor and has been trained in project management, change management and operational excellence.
Anouk began her career as a financial auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers, before becoming a Manager at KPMG Advisory with responsibility for internal audits, process analysis and risk management, as well as being involved with coaching and training. She then spent a couple of years working for the Flemish government on quality control and organisational management projects, before joining Hazelheartwood in 2012.

Roel Nieuwdorp • Senior Consultant
Over 40 years’ legal experience.Roel has a PhD in Law from the University of Leuven and a Master of Laws degree from the University of Pennsylvania (USA). Roel started off as a teaching assistant at the University of Leuven before pursuing a career as a lawyer with several law firms. Roel is now a partner at Ambos NBGO, where he assists foreign and domestic companies set up and implement corporate governance structures, set up acquisition structures and involve private equity funds and investors. He also acts as advisor to listed companies. Roel is a part-time lecturer within the University of Antwerp’s Master after Master program in Business Law. He joined Hazelheartwood in 2011.

Robert Thatcher • Senior Consultant
Over 12 years of experience in consulting and hands-on project, programme, and functional management. Robert studied in St. Andrews University, Lancaster University and University of Antwerp, Belgium. He holds an honours degree in International Business and cum laude master in Applied Economics.
Robert’s career spans top-tier strategy consulting as well project and programme management roles, with functional expertise focused on strategy, IT and supply chain domains. First career moves included an industrial traineeship in marketing at Fujitsu, followed by management traineeship and management roles at Rentokil-Initial. Rob Kuijpers • Senior Executive
Over 40 years’ industry experience. Rob held senior marketing and sales positions with Aspro Nicholas, Sterling Products and Beecham before joining Heinz in 1972 as Marketing and Sales Director for the Benelux, later becoming Managing Director for Europe. Rob then joined DHL as Chief Executive Officer for Europe and Africa, in 1997 becoming Chief Executive Officer of DHL Worldwide Express. In 2002, he was appointed Executive Chairman of SN Brussels Airlines, from which position he resigned in 2005. Since then, he has been involved in various start-ups in the logistics sector, as well as provided advisory, consulting and coaching services for Europa Partners, KPMG and, more recently, Hazelheartwood. He was also a founding partner of KR Transatlantic Partners, a logistics investment fund and consultancy firm that focuses on US companies aiming to expand into Europe.

Rijithe Meempat Jayan • Consultant
Inspired by technology and human interactions, Rijithe’s studies were focused on combining the both in balance. He graduated from a dual degree master’s program in Internet Computing and Virtualization from Manipal University, India and K.U. Leuven, Belgium. During this study period he completed several internships in the fields on HCI, Telecommunication and Game Designing.
He joined Hazelheartwood in 2017 after working for a commodity promotion industry in a market development role. Understanding and developing ways to connect people and digital solutions have always interested him. At Hazelheartwood Rijithe is working in digital transformation and is looking for innovative ways to connect people with technology in a sustainable setting.

Tahnee Naesen • Consultant

Frank Grauls • Partner
Frank has 20 years’ management & transformation experience. He has a degree in Applied Computer Science from the Leuven University College. He spent several years working as a management consultant. During this period Frank gained responsibility for global transformation and change management projects. In 2005 Frank joined Toyota Motor Europe where he held several senior management positions in the area of strategy, business planning management and transformation management. After more than 6 years at Toyota, Frank joined Hazelheartwood at the start in July 2011. At Hazelheartwood Frank is the responsible partner for the digital transformation cluster.

Lily Deforce • Senior Executive
Lily is an agricultural engineer and chemist (Ph.D). She has more than 20 years’ experience both in profit (Procter & Gamble, Somers Zaden) and non-profit (Vredeseilanden, Fairtrade Belgium, Kauri) organizations. She held various management positions in a multinational, SME, academic and NGO work context (EU, US, Japan) where she led several small-scale but also major change processes (including mergers). Tony Verlinden • Senior Executive
Tony holds a Master’s degree in Communicatiewetenschappen which he obtained at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), and completed this studies Bedrijfseconomie at IPO (now Antwerp Management School, AMS) and Arbeidsrecht at the Brussels Chamber of Commerce. He also followed the Middle Management program and the Executive Decision Making program at Vlerick Business School.
Tony worked for the Colruyt Group for 29 years, 19 years of which he was a member of the Executive Board. During his diversified career, he also held both Sales and Production and HR positions. His focus undoubtedly lays in the field of HR and Social Relations, in which he served 6 years as HR Business Partner, 8 years as Corporate HR Director and 4 years as Corporate Social Relations Director.

She was responsible for development and implementation projects for large clients in a software company. Luc Delombaerde • Senior Executive
Over 35 years of experience in Information Technology in various industrial branches. Luc was during 17 years IT Director at Vandemoortele, a family controlled company manufacturing margarines and fats and bread products on a European scale. In this role Luc was responsible for the implementation of SAP, including the integration of acquisitions on this platform, as well as for all IT infrastructure. Luc held this position until January 2014.

Paul Schroyens • Office Manager
Paul holds a degree in Informatics. After his studies, he started to work in 1980 at TOPvoeding as IT-manager. He was also responsible for the invoicing.
After 5 years, he moved to Kerkstoel Bouwmaterialen where he was involved in the computerisation of all types of administrative processes. He purchased and managed the online tools and partly worked on accounting related activities. In 1993, Paul changed to Kredietbank/KBC where he fulfilled different roles and responsibilities. He started as a job/application planner on IBM-mainframe. Few years later, he managed the migration with Cera. After the migration, he became an application engineer successively within the Reporting team and the Datawarehouse team. He ended as a system engineer managing the ATM’s from KBC and CBC. Filip Dierckx has a Master of Laws Degree from Harvard Law School (1980) and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Antwerp (1978). In 1997 he became the CEO of Belgolaise Bank, a publicly listed bank. In 1998 he became Managing Director and Member of the Executive Committee of Generale Bank, renamed Fortis Bank in 1999. In that capacity he was successively responsible for Retail Banking, Investment Banking & Financial Markets. In 2000, he was appointed to the Executive Committee of Fortis and became CEO of Fortis Merchant Banking, Fortis wholesale bank. On January 1 in 2008, he became Chairman of the Executive Board of Fortis Bank. For a brief period, he was CEO designate of Fortis between September 26 and November 21, 2008. Between 2011 and 2014, he was Chairman of Febelfin/Belgian Banking Association (responsible for all Belgian financial institutions), Member of the EBF Board (European Banking Federation) and also a Member of the Board of the FEB (Belgian Industry Federation). Thibaut van Breugel • Senior Consultant
After studying Political Science at the University of Louvain, Thibaut took a master’s degree in Human Resources at the Solvay Business School. Passionate about the human resources sector, he decided to join the group USG People first as a consultant and then as agency manager. With his experience, Thibaut was in charge of developing and expanding the business lines of the group by opening 4 new segmentations: thirty specialized agencies in office, major accounts, construct and call center. Given his ability to manage major changes, he held the position of business change manager during which he reorganized the entire network of Start People. Stijn Matthees • Senior Consultant
Stijn has 15+ years’ project and management experience. He graduated from a Management School in Brussels in 2003 and started his professional career as auditor before joining Toyota, as project consultant for a Sarbanes-Oxley project. Stijn next took on the job of Procure to Pay project manager, which involved improving the processes and managing the company’s Oracle iProcurement implementation. Afterwards he engaged for various management roles in the Accounting and Finance domains.

Alexandra Van Eecke • Senior Consultant
15 years of experience in organisational change and project management. Alexandra holds a Master’s degree in Bioscience Engineering from the University of Ghent. She started her career in the environmental and engineering sector. Her interest for management and organisational change was the reason she chose for KPMG in 2000. After six years of experience in organisational change at KPMG, she decided to join the Province of Antwerp as an internal management consultant and project manager. Baudouin de Cannière • Senior Executive
More than 30 years experience in banking and finance. Baudouin has a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and for over 30 years he was active in the banking and financial sector. He is also a certified corporate director. He started his career with the Indosuez Bank België where for more than 15 years he held various commercial and management positions in corporate and private banking. He then joined Euronext and was actively involved in the merger process with the French, Dutch and Portuguese stock exchanges and was in charge of marketing, relations with issuers and institutional investors at group level.
Today he is active in the social profit sector where he advices different organizations in the field of poverty, employment and social empowerment. Over 30 years’ management experience. Jan has a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and a post-graduate diploma in Higher European Economic Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges. He began his career at a ministerial cabinet of the Belgian government. During my studies Maja was working as a clerk in a Civil Affairs and Migration Department of Podlaski Province Governor’s Office in her home city, assisting the departement with analizing and summarizing current or pending legislation in matter of repatriation. Patrick De Vos, Board Member – After studying Law and Applied Economics at the Antwerp University Patrick joined Deloitte. Two years later het movedto the finance team of Group Brussels Lambert, a Belgian Holding company. GBL is listed onthe stock exchange in the top 5 Belgian companies. At 37 he became CFO of GBL for the next 17 years. Patrick was a board member in several companies of divers sectors. Today he serves in SD Worx, Xerius, Vulpia, ECS-2XL, Antwerpen Cultuurstad and Hazelheartwood.

Dirkje Zoetbrood • Consultant
Customer centricity is the golden thread in the career path of Dirkje Zoetbrood. Her guiding principle is that customer centricity represents more than a competitive advantage of the future, it has become a necessity to survive amid the proliferation of new (online) players. Her passion for internal and external customers was formed at an early age when she grew up in the hospitable entrepreneurship to her parents’ touristic activity on the French west coast, and professionally shaped with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality Management. After three years as an attorney in the Brussels law firm Puelinckx, De Scheemaecker & Dillemans, he joined Janssen Pharmaceutica, first as a member of the Law Department, later as Board Member and member of the Management Board, responsible for several support activities, including Legal Affairs, I/T, Procurement, PR and Public Affairs, Internal and External Communications and Press Relations, Engineering, Facilities and Real Estate; he also served as Chairman of the Johnson & Johnson Corporate Citizenship Trust EMEA. He retired from Janssen Pharmaceutica / Johnson & Johnson in 2013.
He currently is active as Chairman of the Xerius Group (insurance and social security services), as Board member, member of the Holding Management and Chairman of the Remuneration & Nomination Committee at SD Worx. He is Board member at Voka (the Flemish employers’ association) and member of the Deontology Council (Bureau voor Integriteit) at the city of Antwerp.
